Credentials

Credentials

PMP, PMI-ACP, and Professional Scrum Master certified — with a growing technical foundation across AWS, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure most project managers don't pursue.

Why it matters

The agile and PM credentials are the core of how I lead. The technical ones underneath are deliberate — earned to strengthen my hand as a Technical Project Manager, not to collect letters after my name.

In practice, that means I sit in a security review or an AWS architecture discussion as a credible peer, not a scheduler translating between two rooms.

Agile & Project Management
PMP — Project Management Professional (PMI)

The gold standard in project management — predictive, agile, and hybrid delivery. Covers both the technical side of delivery and the leadership dimension: stakeholder management and clear communication under pressure.

PMI-ACP — Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI)

Validates agile knowledge across Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and XP — not just one framework — and requires real hands-on agile experience, not just an exam. Paired with the PMP, it's the base for leading both predictive and adaptive delivery.

PSM I — Professional Scrum Master I (Scrum.org)

Foundational mastery of the Scrum framework — roles, events, artifacts, and the theory behind effective agile delivery. Assessment-based with no course requirement, which makes it one of the more demanding entry certifications in agile.

Cloud (AWS)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate

Validates designing scalable, fault-tolerant systems on AWS. For a Technical PM, it's the difference between coordinating a migration secondhand and holding a technical team accountable to a standard you understand yourself.

CompTIA Certifications
CompTIA Security+

The baseline certification for security practitioners — threats, cryptography, identity management. DoD 8570 approved and the recognised entry point for security roles.

CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)

Validates detecting and analysing malicious activity, threat hunting, and incident response using behavioural analytics — the analyst-level skill set beyond foundational security.

CompTIA PenTest+

Hands-on, performance-based penetration testing — scoping, executing, and reporting with real remediation guidance. Offensive-security literacy most PMs running security programmes don't have.

CompTIA Project+

A vendor-neutral project management certification covering the full lifecycle for smaller projects — complementing the PMP with principles that apply beyond IT.

CompTIA Data+

Validates data analytics fundamentals — mining, governance, and statistical analysis. Useful for a PM who wants delivery metrics built on real data literacy.

CompTIA Network+

Comprehensive networking knowledge — protocols, troubleshooting, secure design. The foundation for any credible conversation about attack surfaces or cloud connectivity.

CompTIA A+

Hardware, operating systems, and end-point support — the operational layer beneath every security control and every technical programme.
